# 1 Baby

His shirt says it all! I just love this little one. The last two naps I gave him, he went down without a hitch. I hope and pray that it stays that way. I've tried something new. He stays awake two hours and then I hold him w/ a paci and take him to his bed, swaddle his body (arms out), turn on the mobile and sit there with him. I have my hand on his tummy. He then puts his little hands on my hand. I rub down his nose (if he's tired this makes his eyes close). So far this little routine has worked. Knock on wood.

On a more exciting note, Douglas laughed for the first time on Wed. He hasn't done it since but it was a definite laugh and I have a witness (my friend heard it). As I think about it my heart melts again. It was sooooo cute and I can't wait until it occurs frequently. I just love this little fellow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First trip to the park

I couple weeks ago my parents took Douglas to the park across the street. They said he was fascinated with the ducks. I went the next day with them to see. It was a little too windy though and Dougie didn't like the strong wind, it was hard for him to breathe. So we didn't stay that long but it got me looking forward to warmer weather so that we can come back and stay longer. Here is some pictures of Douglas' adventures.

Kicking

There's not a whole lot thats new here. Last week Douglas started cooing alot. Travis and I just laugh when he's feeding but still manages to coo and make all sorts of sounds. Mouth full and all, he's just a cooing. It's taken away from his smiles though. I think that he's so fascinated with the sounds he can make that he's too busy doing that to smile alot, anymore. I'm hoping in the next week or two the newness wears off and he both coos and smiles a bunch. We have a new game for him. We put this aligator rattle toy over his gym mat and pull Douglas down so that he can kick the gym mat. He loves to kick and he's found that if he keeps kicking the gym that the aligator rattles and eventually falls on him. It keeps him occupied for a good 15 min. That's alot for this little tyke!

What a joke

I saw on several blogs where they posted pictures of people and the celebrities they looked liked. I went to that heritage.com place and what a joke! Check out the people they said I look like. I always thought I looked like Oprah!!! :-)

I tried w/ another pictures and these were higher percentages. (Still bogus though)

Digital Scrapbooking

This summer was the first I'd heard of digital scrapbooking and it sounded great. I was excited to ask for a program for Christmas that did it. I recieved "Scrapbook Factory" for Christmas. It's great, however, it's not quite as versatile as Photoshop Elements b/c I can't download templates and use them on my program. So...I'll probably be buying that soon. Anyways, here are a couple I've done on "Scrapbook Factory". Keep in mind that I'm a beginner.

I haven't done anything since we've been married,
so I had to start there, hence the wedding pages.

Sunday Best

Douglas wore an adorable suit to church Sunday. It was a 3-6 month one but that brand must run small b/c it was a little snug. He'll probably only wear it one more time. I hate when different brands' sizes are not the same. A 3-6 month should be the same in every brand. Thats a new pet peeve of mine! :-(
NOTE: I'm no photographer, as my poor attempts will testify. (Laura, I tried the sheet over the boppy but it doesn't quite have the same effect.) Oh well, Douglas makes any bad photographer look good! He takes after his mom!!! :-) :-)

Misc.

Today is a post of miscellanous items. We'll start with the cutest and MOST important first!

I love this outfit!! The hat just kills me with the little ears.

I have the cutest baby in the world!! (Yes, I know I'm biased.) I just love him to pieces. Douglas is doing great. I love to get smiles from him. It's fascinating to watch him. He is so intriqued by the simpliest things.

We got some snow yesterday, not much, but hey, it's Texas.

Lastly, today was lunch ladies. The women in our church get together one Friday a month and eat and gab. What else would women do? Today's theme was Valentines so I made a heart shaped pizza. I thought it turned out cute and I was impressed with myself for actually making the dough. It was good too! That's it for my randomness!
