I have a little poll for all you mommies. Has there been any extended period of time (more than just a day or two) that you have not enjoyed being a mom? If so, what were the ages of your children? This has been a rough 6 weeks for me. I was relieved to ask a friend if she's always enjoyed being a mom and after pausing she said no and it was probably when her boys were my boys' ages. I'm still trying to decipher why its been so rough. I have some ideas. Anyways, I was just wondering.

Reminder
As I'm unwinding from a stressful evening of Harrison pooping in the tub, switching tubs and Douglas peeing in it, I need a reminder of the things I love about these two. :-)
Harrison- He is one intense kid. He's either flying high and HILARIOUS and utterly wonderful or he's a walking cry baby. Seriously, there doesn't seem to be much in between. Fortunately his highs are so wonderful and he makes me laugh so hard. He has recently started mimicing like crazy! As of last week I counted 13 official words and in the last 3 days I could add about 5 more except I'm waiting until he's been saying them longer before I officially count them. (Yes I'm weird). He's still not eating fruits very well but we'll keep trying. Also, this kid is already looking hispanic. I tell you he's dark. Oh and he's a squealer. He's so loud.
Douglas- He loves racing games like where you roll the dice and move your man and the first one to the end wins. He also really likes to trace lines and beginning writing. He also repeats certain words. For example, 2 days ago I was chasing down a fly in the house and I was getting pretty violent with the magazine and blinds. So a certain cuss word escaped my mouth (beavers dam). Anyway, I hit the fly and he was down, or so I thought. I went back 5 minutes later to dispose of him and he was flying in the blinds. He tricked me. So today Douglas found the rolled up magazine and was hitting the counters and he said, "I got it. Oh he tricked me, damn it." I couldn't help but chuckle. And I immediately thought, okay I can't say that anymore. I'm not a cusser but that "d" word does slip out occasionally. I'm not proud. I will have to clean my "potty mouth". Also, Douglas is getting out of his shell more. He'll talk a strangers ear off if they let him. He is really into dinosaurs right now. Also, he's very lovey.
