Outdoors man

Douglas has always loved being outside, even since a little baby. He also has this strange fascination with hoses and sprinkler heads. We went outside last week and he was perfectly content holding that hose. Listen carefully to hear him squeal and pant.

I don't have any good Santas village pictures b/c it was CROWDED! So crowded that we didn't enter any of the cool buildings. It looked like a great place but the crowds took away from the coolness. Anyways, I just posted a layout of Douglas' 12 month page on my scrap blog and reliazed that I haven't posted any of the pictures that Kuulei took of him or the ones we had from JC Penny. Here are some.

Santa

Well, I wasn't going to change my blog for Christmas because I want to for the New Year but today we took Douglas to my mom's work party to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus and the Christmas spirit won. Douglas didn't like Santa but Mrs. Claus was okay. Tonight we are going to Santa's village so I'll post more pictures Sunday.

Mexican Salad

A friend just asked me for this recipe and since I enjoy it so much too, I wanted to share.

2 cans pinto beans, drained
1 head lettuce chopped
4 tomatoes, chopped
1.5-2 lbs grated cheddar cheese
1 (16oz) bottle Catalina dressing
1 large pkg. Fritos (small type) I used the chili ones. (I think thats what it's called.)
I've also added an avocado before & like it
Toss all ingredients, except dressing & Fritos. Add dressing and Fritos just before serving. Mix all ingredients gently. Serves 8-10
