Any ideas?

I go in for my sonogram next Wednesday and hopefully will see what sex the baby is. I'm worried that it won't be in the right position and they won't be able to tell the gender. My co-workers said to drink caffeine before I go so that the baby will be moving around. I'm not going to do that. So I was wondering for you mommies out there, have you heard of any tricks? I told Travis that I'm working out before we go. I figure that might work. I just need to know the gender!!! (I'm impatient and can't stand the thought of waiting a couple months more to find out.) Let me know of any ideas.

Big purchase

We found a house!! They accepted our offer and we close on it July 25th. Here's the catch. It's 2-3 streets away from my parents house.
:-) I'm fine with it. I asked Travis if he was worried and he said he was only worried about me spending too much time there. I'll have to be very conscious of it. For those who know the neighborhood, it's right behind the Crookstons's home. It's the smallest house in the neighborhood but it's better to be the smallest in a neighborhood rather than the biggest. Those bigger houses will help our resale out. It's 3 bedroom, 2 bath. I love the kitchen because it's big and will match my fruit decor perfectly! It has a big yard too(because it's the corner lot). The yards are kind of bare so we'll have to work on that. I've been really worried about this purchase because we looked at our budget and our savings will be significantly smaller and that scares me for emergencies. I'm not worried about this house, just any house purchase in general. I've been reassured by several trustworthy people so I do feel better. It's time to grow up and live the scant life of a new family, new home. It will be good though. We'll definitely post pictures in September after we've made changes.
Thanks Jon for helping us understand and know what to look for in good faith estimates and mortgage brokers. That really helped us get a $905 cheaper estimate. We owe ya.

The left is from the entry and taken of the living and kitchen.

The right is from the kitchen looking at the living room. It's a very open floor plan. Travis really likes that. In the back of the picture is a doorway. That is the master bedroom. The kids bedrooms are the left hallway in the picture.

Dining area and kitchen.

We are very excited. We have been very blessed, it's amazing. Stay tuned next month, say around July 6th to find out whether we are having a boy or girl. Until next time....

Vacation

I have lots of pictures from our vacation. Our first week started in Bountiful where we met with old friends and visited with family. I didn't get any pictures from that week. The second week took place at his grandparents' farm in Oregon and then this other grandparents' cabin near Stanley Idaho. We went with two of his siblings and their family. Here are some pictures.

I think Travis looks just like his dad who looks just like his dad. What do you think?

This is the cute farmhouse that Travis' grandparents live in.

I love this picture of his 80-something year old grandpa on the backhoe working it like a pro. He is the cutest old man. He is so cheerful and walks around whistling. He tells fun stories too.

This is the result of all the backhoeing. (That has to be a real word.) They'll put pipes in it.

Travis on the backhoe. Jon showing Gena how to use the backhoe.

We went fishing at there pond and I caught the most fish. I caught 6. Ignore the ghettoness of me in the picture. I know I look gross. Oh well, it's farm life. :-)

The grandparents planted a tree for each grandchild. They have 35 grandkids. (They really know how to pop them out, huh.) Here is Travis next to his Tree.

This is at the cabin in Idaho. It's the crawl space below the cabin. When we got there the boys found that there was big water leak so Travis went to check it out. The crawl space is infested with rats and spiders so Travis got creative with his "protective" gear.

This is us with two of our neices and nephews. It's Taylor and Dylan. Their sister Madison (2years old) didn't want much to do with us and this picture. We are in front of a lake and the Sawtooth Mountain range in Stanley, Idaho.

The Hutchinson kids. They belong to Heather (Travis's sister) and Trent. They were a blast to play with.

Here is a better picture of the lake and Sawtooth Mountain range that's off of the Salmon River.

Here's the family rafting down the Salmon river.
